Our New Website is Live Now

We completed the framework for our website on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024. It is now live and accessible to everyone. This platform will be crucial for sharing information among our community. While not everyone has internet access, many educated individuals with smartphones can connect to the site. We are committed to regularly updating it with valuable insights about District initiatives and ongoing projects.

Our website is currently being updated by volunteers. We would greatly appreciate any feedback you have on how we can improve. Thank you for your support and contributions!

  1. Thanks MP RAICOAST to create our website we appreciated that. Hope this site could updated us on the situation in our District.

    1. Hi Francis, thanks for visit and for your comment. Rai Coast has always had the problems and challenges, that we are slowly addressing. But all in all, communication is very important. Our vision and what we want to do must be shared with the people, so it becomes a shared-vision for shared-action.

      1. Great idea totally agree with you because many previous leaders failed this lEADERSHIP QUALITY of MANAGING COMMUNICATION in the Public Organisation because communication is the vital Component and finally you Managed this
        Thanks so much 🙏🙏🙏

  2. Good initiative madam mp.
Just a suggestion. Most of the people might not have access in this platform. I suggest have whatsapp or fb groups or forums created to disseminate information.

    Only my view.
    Thanks

  3. Hi Member Raicost, this is a good initiative to have people in you District to be aware of the development and the information related to the District. You as a first time MP, you have set a benchmark and others need to follow.

However I’d like to point out that the .com domain used is for private used. This is a government website and I’d suggest you use .gov.pg domain with is. You should reach out to Department of ICT for the assistance in regards to this.

Overall, we are impressed with you work as a first term MP for your District.

    Keep up the good work!

  4. The Department of ICT will have to review the website and ensure it conforms to the Government Domain and website standards as regulations under the Digital Government Act 2022 requires all public body web domains. Please consult DICT to get the support and I am sure they will assist as well.
    8. Government Domain
    (1) A public body must use and maintain the government domain, .gov.pg.
    (2) Any public body requiring a new domain name for any purpose1 must register it within
    the “. gov.pg” domain.
    (3) Any public body requiring a domain name for a government website must comply with
    the Website Standards and Guidelines.
    (4) Any public body requiring a domain name for a government email must comply with the
    Email Standards and Guidelines.
    (5) All public bodies are required to cease using any other domain names (including any
associated subdomains) that are no longer authorized unless approved and authorized by
    DICT.
    (6) A limited period will be given to ensure that all public bodies register using the
government domain, and a forwarding will be set up for a certain period. The domain
owner shall also be required to delete records after the given time. A failure to convert the
domain to the government domain will result in sanctions for public bodies utilizing
    domains other than “.gov.pg.”

    1. All aware, when they eventually come around to helping all the main Government Departments, some who don’t even have have a web presence, we can talk. Otherwise, I think there is nothing wrong under the provisions of the DDA Act for what we’re doing in order to maintain transparency, accountability and disseminate vital information. Thanks for the info though. Appreciated.

    2. Full support this message and move from current raicoast.com to raicoast.gov.pg
As .PG domain administrator.PG is genuine and PNG country flag on Internet world gTLD (.com) can apply anyone

  5. RCDDA is the first DDA to have created their website page to provide development updates and project delivery information for public consumption. Well done MP for RC and your Team for this journey.

  6. Really appreciate this Initiative, Hon Member KS.. I am sure under this platform we can share vital information about our district and any information regarding issues surrounding our Province as well.. Many thanks..

  7. Thank you Minister for the website page.
The updates for the service and development contribute meaningfully to your district in your terms.

May Good Lord Almighty will bless you and your leadership.

  8. Nice website for Raincoat but just a suggestion if the domain name raicoast.com should later change to raicoastdda.gov.pg to make sense because Raincoat DDA is not a company.

    Thank you!
